Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

I purchased Logic Pro to take advantage of the cool swipe comp feature. Works great with 
audio files, but I can't get it to work with MIDI. I can't even do a new MIDI take into the same 
track. IMHO this is a total deal-breaker for Logic Pro. I hope I don't have to go back to DP5!

Or am I missing something ?
