Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

I'm still on 5.5 and I refuse to budge for now, although I know I'm missing out on a lot. I haven't had many problems. You defiantly can't have more then 1g of ram in your box, but other then that it's still a sweet rig.

Ahh - "Apple the 11th", remember it well. 'Twas the 1st of July, 2002 
that the announcement was made I believe. Logic was then at about v5.1. 
A string of updates up to 5.5.1 came out over the following few months 
(they mainly added the demos of the new Audio Instruments) and that was 
the final version on PC.

The main issues with Logic 5.5.1 are - poor support for multiple cores, 
odd behaviour with more than 512 MB of RAM and poor support from VST 
instruments - hanging notes etc.

There are some workarounds but you can get the odd "insufficient memory" 
message when you try to do something simple with midi despite 2GB 
installed and you might need to use Energy XT 1.4 as a host within 
Logic to get some Native Instruments plugins to behave themselves.
