Re: [Logic_Cafe] offtopic - new Itunes doesn't convert to MP3

2008-09-20 by Mike and Delonna Hyland

This is probably a no-brainer, but I'm new to Logic and can't figure this out. Is there a way to read a .mp3 or .wav file into Logic? (One that was created elsewhere - specifically Cubase). So that I can then edit it as if it were an audio file?

Mike

I just updated Itunes, and seems that the preference for converting
selections to MP3 is now removed - it used to be under the "advanced" pane of itunes.
There is still the option to convert to AAC.

By the way, I recorded a live concert using an Olympus LSq10 then put the
files in logic for eq, compression, stereo spread, and limiting and they really
  sound great.
