Re: [Logic_Cafe] Logic-based recording studios in the Los Angeles, CA area?

2008-09-28 by Tim McLane

I'm not sure; you can ask him at the email addresses I sent you, or look at some of the links on his website. I don't think he owns any 1073s but a lot of the studios he works in have them and if not, they're cheap to rent here in LA --$40-$80/day depending upon the deal. I'll send you an equipment list and you can decide whether to send it to the room or not.

Its not a big deal but just curious. So he sends the stereo buss out through
the preamps and reconverts back to digital? Or the individual 16 or more
tracks out to a board then? Or does he send them out a stereo pair at time to run
through the preamps? A Neve 1037 dpa costs about $3000 for a stereo pair so
fairly few people have 8 or 16 of those except big studios.
