Easiest way is to select the track, then use key command combination
control + Command + E  This opens up the Track Automation Event list.
Select the first event then key command to select all events (Command
+ A) use the delete key (below the F13 key) and Voila! Bye Bye Automation.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
