A question I can answer!!! This relates to MIDI recordings, not sure whether it works in audio too. Even when you are in play mode, the performance is kept in memory. If you want to save it, press control * or control, option, R on a laptop to capture the performance. BUT you have to do this before you carry out any other functions or else you lose the ability to capture the performance. I feel like I have lost my cherry now :-) Andy B
