saving after playing

2009-03-13 by eymard.rm

Hello,
You normally rehearse before you record a song. Sometimes you get better results when rehearsing than when actually recording the song. Someone showed me a short cut so you are able to save what you played/rehearsed if you're happy with it but I forgot where I logged the short cut. Can you please advise how I can do this.

Thanks.

Yay! A question I can answer!!!

This relates to MIDI recordings, not sure whether it works in audio too.

Even when you are in play mode, the performance is kept in memory. If
you want to save it, press control * or control, option, R on a
laptop to capture the performance. BUT you have to do this before you
carry out any other functions or else you lose the ability to capture
the performance.

I feel like I have lost my cherry now :-)
