Mike,
Congrats! I too plan on using MainStage for some live shows this summer, using my MacBook. What did you use for a stand for your laptop? I'm trying to find something that folds up but can hold a MacBook and Apogee Duet.

Steve,
I ended up plugging into a power strip which went straight into the generator. The generator clicked off once, and we reset the GFCI tabs at the plug site, and everything was fine. No problem at all, MainStage worked like a charm. That is a really cool piece of software. I may go with a UPS next time, just for a little added safety.
Plus, the weather was great and the runners really seemed to like us! We played for 3 1/2 hours without a break!
