Re: [Logic_Cafe] Logic v8 question - Phase switching

2009-07-17 by GAmoore@aol.com

I think you can reverse the phase in the audio window ... but I am not
sure now.

for more complicated phase resolution, there is a little plugin that
does exactly that - and not just 180 degrees - but any two mics. Its
for the UAudio board though.

Subject: [Logic_Cafe] Logic v8 question - Phase switching

Hi..

Quick question does Logic have a tool that solves phase issues in
recordings?
Actually what I really want to know is does it has a tool that allows
one to switch the phase of a recording 180deg..

When recording, say, a kick drum from both sides of the skin with 2
mics.. ala from the beater side and the opposite side phasing occurs
and this needs fixing. One way would be to swap the phase of the signal
of one 180 degrees and make other adjustments etc to get around the
phase issue.

I know some Pre's have phase switches etc to help with such issues but
what if the gear you are using doesn't have that feature does Logic
have a plugin that does that for you?
