This situation happens to all of us. The only remedy seems to be to wait until the new products come out, and then buy the old one heavily discounted. So just be patient. Apple has gotten somewhat regular in their updates and releases. And you can follow the rumor mill to see when updates are eminent here : http://www.macrumors.com/ There is quite a bit chatter just before new releases. Evidently there are some deep sources who give indications which are often correct. -----Original Message----- From: c_eisenhardt <c_eisenhardt@...> To: Logic_Cafe@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thu, Oct 22, 2009 12:45 pm Subject: [Logic_Cafe] Re:I am in love again... - Apples just released a new 27" A Quad Core i --- In Logic_Cafe@yahoogroups.com, Dennis Gurwell <dennisgu@...> wrote: > > It never fails: Apple has a habit of coming out with something new > right after I've purchased one of their products. Guess what...? THEY DID. Not saying they will accept month old macs in every instance, but they did with my old powerbook. I got a new model 3 and a half weeks after the NEWER one came out... Might be worth a phone call or a visit to your local Apple store. charlie
