Just one point to keep in mind if you're not familiar with Digi's product line. The mBox Micro is a sweet little dongle that 's great for traveling. But it's playback only. There is no provision for recording. So if you happen to be mucking with a Pro Tools session for some reason and need to record anything other than VI's, you're out of luck. The mBox2 Mini is like $50 more, street price (last time I checked) and allows recording through either mic (48v available) or line inputs. I bought one on eBay for about $160US. I do understand that you may never want to record in PT, just open sessions for bounce and conversion. If this is always going to be the case, then the Micro will do you OK. What I used to have to do prior to getting a cheap Mbox and LE was find someone with a Pro Tools set up then export everything as audio files (including processed files via PT plugs if desired) and just dropping them in a Logic session. If you consolidate in PT you should have a zero point in Logic. If it's something you have to do a lot of I'd suggest Mbox Micro. Annoying to have to buy proprietary hardware to use a DAW but that's Digidesign. And having just re-read your post that's all quite useless suggestion, sorry. Never had much fun with OMF in Logic, I'd recommend bouncing, as above, if you can find a PT mate. > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
