I think the point i'm trying to make is that like should be compared
with like. There is more demand for pc because they are the norm
I have a good way to explain this ... look at the price of an ATI Radeon 9800 graphics board. The same board can be used on Mac or PC by reburning the ROM chip. So hardware is the same. However prices are not. The PC version is about half or two thirds. Some people buy the PC version, burn the rom for mac, then sell it on Ebay for a profit.
Now Apple has nothing to do with ATI. So why does ATI sell the Mac version for so much more? I used to see the 9000 for $79 on sale at Frys but I never saw the $159 mac version of the same card on sale. (The prices have come down since then).
