[Logic_Cafe] RE: Sounding off

2005-01-14 by Kamm Schreiner

Hi Troy,

> I'm thrilled to say--my Logic works like a charm!

My experience is also pretty good. Logic has given me a few problems, but
recently it has been running very smoothly. Prior to Logic I was using Sonar
on a PC and it was essentially crash proof. Recently I purchased Cubase SX3
because I want to make certain that Logic is the program for me to be using.
On my PC it crashes frequently. On my Mac it crashes less, but still far too
often. Cubase crashes so frequently on my PC that there simply has to be
some sort of driver or hardware issue, but I haven't been able to track it
down yet. Cubase support has been unreachable.

Anyway, I've had a fairly good taste of Cubase and I doubt it will convert
me from Logic. Logic just feels right when I'm using it. It is just very
simply a productive environment for me.

Aside from your troubles with Cubase, I'm curious how you rate the two
comparatively with regard to MIDI, Audio, and Plug-ins.
