2. in logic, go to Audio >; Audio Hardware (or something like that) and choose your device there.
3. Go to the arrange page of logic, choose an audio track, and try hitting pause and record on that track and see if the meter moves. if not, try holding down the mouse on that track and choosing an audio track.
