Date: February 18, 2005 2:56:03 PM EST To: Logic_Cafe@yahoogroups.com Hi Charles, It's not the file type that matters but how you set the output in flash. There are 2 major types of sound in Flash 1) Streaming 2) Event When you click on a keyframe on the timeline - you will see the option in your Frame actions window. Streaming sounds will lock to frames - this is what you want. Event sounds are good for ambient stuff that doesn't need to lock to picture. I hope this helps. regards, andrew ingkavet Andrew Ingkavet Executive Producer / Composer 300 MONKS - VISIONARY MUSIC web: http://300monks.com email: info@300monks.com telephone: 917-449-7805 "---Deep in the forests of Brooklyn, 300 monks live, work and pray creating exquisite handcrafted soundtracks.---" On Feb 18, 2005, at 9:27 AM, Charles Lucy wrote: > I am having nightmare problems attempting to sync my Logic Pro 7 audio > to a Flash movie. > > The cartoon is at 12 frames per second, and I converted it into a > QuickTime .mov using SnapzProX to be able to view it as I construct > the > audio in Logic Pro 7. > > I got everything to match perfectly in Logic, and the duration of the > audio and the cartoon match at 1min 17 seconds. > > First I tried bouncing it as 24 bit aiff, and converting to mp3 using > ITunes. > It seemed to work when the mp3 was inserted into the .fla and > published > as an .swf. > > BUT ........ > > As soon as I put the file onto the net using Dreamweaver, the sync > slips out. > > On my 12 year-old son's advice (He did the visuals) I consulted: > > http://www.newgrounds.com/flash/audio.html > > which suggests that I use .wav format when adding the audio to the > visuals in Flash. > > I rebounced using .wav at 16 bit. > > Same problem with sync. > > The flash movie piece in question is at: > > http://www.lullabies.co.uk/lullsvideo.swf > > and the audio is at: > > http://www.lullabies.co.uk/Vid18FebMix.mp3 > > > The baby sneeze at the end of the Haitian lullaby is supposed to be > synced to the pi lightbulb appearing above the Professor's head > > What is the best way to bounce from Logic, and get it to work right? > > Any help/advice on how to get this Flash cartoon to remain in sync as > it is looped is appreciated. > > Thanks > > > Charles Lucy - lucy@... > ------------ Promoting global harmony through LucyTuning ------- > for information on LucyTuning go to: http://www.lucytune.com > for LucyTuned Lullabies go to http://www.lullabies.co.uk > Buy/download/CD from: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/lucytuned2 > > > > Yahoo!
