Have you changed the MIDI channel in the Garritan/Kompact (or whatever it's called) inst. window? I could not get Garritan to even sound.. it sounded if I used the mouse with the onscreen keyboard but when I played my real midi keyboard the keys onscreen appeared depressed but no sound. So I removed GPO. Then I got another crash ... this is with one virtual instrument, 2 midi tracks, one drum loop, and one audio track. I'm at my wits end. I guess the only other thing is to disable the supposedly valid plugs - starting with Garritan.
