Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Hi. Introducing myself.
My name is Wilfried Dockx from Belgium - Antwerp.
I'm a Logic user since '99. Means I'm still holding on to the 
Platinum version 3.6 running upon an ancient Mac 8600.

Just got myself a new (used) G4, so thinkin' about getting myself 
Logic Pro 7 of Express 7.
I'm not a professional but an amateur home recorder but like to get 
pro results.
If not the prize of the Logic Pro 7 vs Express 7 make the difference, 
should I go for the Logic Pro 7 or would that be overkill?
