Digi Design Mbox Compatibility Issues With Logic 7.1?

Digi Design Mbox Compatibility Issues With Logic 7.1?

2005-05-05 by urbankato

Hi Everyone! Apologies if this subject has been covered already but i'm quite keen to get it
sorted quickly if any of you have an answer on it....

I've just installed the 7.1 Update and it doesn't seem to want to recognize my Digi Design
M Box. The previous version worked fine with it. I tried going through the set up wizard
again and even that it's not seeing it. I still have logic 6 installed and that's working fine....

I can't imagine why logic would suddenly stop recognizing the M Box in the jump between
logic 7 and 7.1 but i don't think i'm doing anything wrong here.

I'm using a power book G4 OSX 10.3.9

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks

Urbankato.

There have been many reports in the last couple of days of
Digidesign systems such as MBox and the 002 not working with Logic
7.1. As you correctly stated, everything worked fine up until now,
but something has happened that makes 7.1 incompatible with
Digidesign Core Audio Drivers 6.7 and 6.9. There is a workaround
which is getting people by for now:

Launch iTunes. Play a few bars of a song. Then launch Logic 7.1,
and you'll find that it works...you can select Digi for your I/O.

Let's hope Digidesign corrects the problem.
