RAM installation G5's (was Mac Question)

Oh no, its easy on the G5 dual (and on my previous G4). I can pop ram in, in
60 seconds without any tools. Pop the side of the case off, pull off the
plastic insert, and the fan slide out, then the ram slots are right there.

I have also installed and taken out a second hard disk without tools.

The one problem I have had a few times with the G5 (when installing PCI
boards) is a little screw getting loose and rolling around. I make sure to always
get these out, as I had a problem like this with a powerbook, which ended up
frying the motherboard when the screw shorted something out. So I tip the case
a certain way so if a screw falls, it falls harmlessly on place it can't roll
away.

I appreciate all the info., my lack of knowledge is mostly due to just
being on the other side of the platform world.

Having asked a couple basic questions, I've become aware enough to make
a sound decision about which unit to purchase and what to do to prepare
it for use with Logic.

Thanks again,
Gary
