Mac OSX Desktop Question

Mac OSX Desktop Question

2005-05-26 by arthur perkins

Hi all,

Can anyone answer the following question: I want to
position all my icons on the desktop in certain places
so that they always appear in the same place.

How can this be done?

Well the simple answer is to do exactly what your question states. :-)

Since you don't describe what is happening for you at the moment, I
can only assume that you might have something like "Snap to grid",
and/or "Keep arranged by" switched on. Click on the Desktop and
select "Show View Options" from the View menu.

Kurt.

Click on the desk of the mac, then command J brings up the VIEW menu (or go to the View menu). Then you can set options for the viewing and arrangement of icons.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
