Fixing OS X & Sudden Driver problems

>Thanks for your response! .. I'm unsure how to go about your suggestions There are three steps : 1. Applications Folder > Utilities Folder > Disk Utilities select your OSX disk and hit REPAIR PERMISSIONS 2. Applications Folder > Utilities Folder > Terminal sudo periodic daily sudo periodic weekly sudo periodic monthly Each of these take 10 minutes or so. The terminal operations do the things that would normally occur at 3 am if you left your computer on 24/7 - which I almost never do. 3. If you have Diskwarrior, it might be a good idea to rebuild the disk directory too. 4. (reboot for good measure. Supposedly unnecessary, but many installers require a reboot. And things do seem to change after reboots at times). Greg
