REALTIME BOUNCE

REALTIME BOUNCE

2005-06-26 by tim_trax

When I have a song using the Virtual Electric or Acoustic Guitarist, if I use 'OFFLINE
BOUNCE', the guitar is missing from the resulting aif. If I use 'REALTIME BOUNCE'
everything works fine. Any idea what's going on?

thats surprising. I have little glitches - like a pop or static, or a few times complete silence. So to be on the safe side, I bounce online. I use the opportunity to crank the volume a bit, stand back and savor the overall mix from a fresh perspective. it seems the only reliable way to do things.

Does anyone know a quick way to bounce a virtual instrument to audio? There is the new command to send regions to new audio files but that doesn't appear to work for midi regions. I am left to solo the track, bounce, import the track into the audio window then the arrange window. Seems like there should be a better way.

master mix / tube pre-amp (direct-box application).

Anyone have any philosophy about effectively mixing for different formats (mp3 / wav / aiff). I\ufffdve always thought it would be best to mix to best suit flat levels, but just curious if there\ufffds a better way.

Also: Anybody ever use a tube pre-amp with a built in limiter? Do these work well for doing a direct box type of electric guitar recording? Does this give me desirable impedence matchups. I always feel like the guitar on my recordings is the weak link in the sound and am looking to get the warmest, cleanest possible tube-amp (w./ medium reverb) sound.

Thanks.
