Can you freeze tracks as wave files?

Can you freeze tracks as wave files?

2006-05-18 by Lee Scott

I have selected WAVE as my recording preference. When I freeze an intrument track at 24 bit, for future import, it comes out as a an AIFF file. Can you freeze tracks as wave files?

Assuming you're using Logic 7, no you can't, and you can't even freeze it at
24 bit. Freezing is not meant for exporting, only for internal use by Logic.
Hence the freeze files are always floating point, to match the data they
represent.

To export a track, use the "export" function, you can select exactly what kind
of file you want there.

Maurits.

Thanks for the help, I'm on version 6 now, getting 7 soon. You can
freeze at 24 bit in version 6. I imported the files and converted them
to wave in the audio window. Looking forward to the export feature. Lee

Ah yes sorry. :o) Indeed the export feature was included in 7 and
then they decided to make freeze usable for freezing only.
