Does anyone have any knowledge, experience, or know much about these pre-fab Vocal
Booths? They typically advertise ins the classified sections of EM mag, etc.

I am in dire need of a vocal booth but certainly can't build one here in my
Brooklyn apt., $@#!

any info on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

these 2 advertise all the time in the back of EM.

[Logic_Cafe] Pre-fab Vocal Booths

I just got the reflexion filter by SeElectronics. It
goes behing the mic to absorb and focus the sound.
It's about 300 bucks. If you put a sleeping bag or
something behind you, all the better.

Truth is I haven't used mine yet but I have heard good
things about it.

I have looked at that Reflexion too, but I keep thinking that $15 spent in
Home Depot would provide about the same effect. I put some baffles up in my
studio, but as long as you close mic you don't get much room noise anyway. If you
put the guitar back a few feet then you'll start to hear the room, especially
with an omni.
