Logic Pro 6.4.2 and fonts question

Logic Pro 6.4.2 and fonts question

2007-04-08 by Chris Vreeland

Hey, all, about 2 months ago, I installed the Photoshop CS3 beta
(please don't give me grief about installing betas, Photoshop is what
I use to make my living) and ever since, whenever I launch Logic (Pro
6.4.2) I get a dialog that says "Some Text Fonts are missing or not
displayable. You can replace Fonts globally in the Text Style
Window," with nothing but an "OK" button below that. Once I okay it,
Logic finishes loading the Autoload song, without any detectable
problems, but I'm beginning to get sick of dismissing this dialog,
and I can't for the life of me find any "Text Style Window" anywhere
in Logic. Can someone point me to this window, or otherwise advise me
as to what fonts Logic expects to have installed so I can check and
see if some of them have gone missing?

Thanks,
Chris Vreeland

Sorry, I don't know the answer. But this is why its a good idea to install a
second hard disk, or partition a single disk to have one operating system and
disk dedicated to Logic and music, and nothing else.

Hey Chris, go to: "Score" (Command 3)/ "Text"/ "Text Styles" - Change
all and resave.

Agree 100%. Guess I would try either of the following:

1. Clean-install the OS, Logic and other DAWs if you have any, plug-ins and
all the stuff you use with your DAW to another partition.

2. If you don't want to mess with your plug authorizations just try running
*combo* update for your version of OS -- it may or may not fix the issue,
but at least it won't hurt to run it again and fix any existing problems
along the way. I do this every time I have a minor thing and it helps most
of the times. Just my $0.02.

Best,

Andy

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
