Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Hey,

In a couple of places online, I read that Apple "MAY" be updating Logic 7 to Logic 8 [since 
there hasn't been an update in a while] and it will be announced in June or July or something 
like that. I guess once the new OS comes out, it willl need an update.

Guess we can start the rumor mill..... anyone heard similar ?

Hi,

There was a big thread on the LUG about it, the rumor was Apple was going to 
release a new DAW with a new name at Musikmesse. The whole system would be 
controlled from a
touch-sensitive screen... Like all rumors it turned BS in the end... Another 
rumor appeared the next day after Musikmesse and said the app would be 
available at WWDC or AES or winter NAMM or whatever else exists in this 
world :-) ...

I agree...
There are always BIG rumors about Apple & their
products.
I work in Television & the big trade show (NAB) is
happening in a couple of weeks. Rumors are flying
about their Final Cut Edit System... Are they true? I
doubt it. Same rumors were flying last year at this
time...
What I know is true is that Apple just released a
powerhouse Mac Pro.
OS10.5 should be out anytime before 2008 & as far as
major upgrades go for Logic, I think they'll release
an update on or around the time of OS10.5's release.
But it won't be Logic 8, it'll be version 7.3... : )
