Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

In Pro Tools you can change/assign patches on external devices from within the Pro Tools 
interface.  Can you do this in Logic?

A friend asked me, and I've never had cause to do this.

But of course. There are parameters for port, bank, and patch. Of course, 
Emagic was selling a separate product sounddiver which grabbed the patch names, 
so they hobbled that in Logic. Then they left Sounddiver to die on the vine.
