The install of Logic Studio on a Mirror Door

The install of Logic Studio on a Mirror Door

2008-01-16 by m8xxm8n

I just barely loaded Logic Studio; I load the Jam Pack and few other things. When I start up
I get an alert telling me that I am not at the recommended processor speed. I was
wondering if there's any one out there with the same PowerMac that's having a happy time
with Logic Studio running on same like machine?

What did you load from the installer
What should i expect when running studio on my computer
What I am I missing while running it on my computer
Any other feedback or tips would be helpful

Thanks in advance,

Power Mac G4 Dual 1GHz w/167MHz system bus
• 1.5 gig of Ram
• 80GB Ultra ATA drive
120GB drive
• Optical 1 - Apple SuperDrive
• Mac OS - 10.4 Tiger
MOTU 2408 (old one)
Roland 1080
Proteus (old one)

I think you are up a creek my friend. Time to buy a new computer or keep
running L7 for a while. The minimum requirements need a faster cpu and more ram.
Here is what apple's website says.

http://www.apple.com/logicstudio/logicpro/specs.html

Logic Studio System Requirements
Minimum requirements to install all applications
     • Mac computer with a 1.25GHz or faster PowerPC G4 processor
(PowerPC G5, Intel Core Duo, or Intel Xeon processor highly recommended)
     • 1GB of RAM (2GB or more highly recommended)
     • Display with 1024-by-768 resolution (1280-by-800 or higher
recommended)
     • Mac OS X v10.4.9 or later
     • QuickTime 7.2 or later
     • DVD drive for installation
     • PCI Express, ExpressCard/34, USB, or FireWire based audio
interface recommended
Additional recommendations for Logic Pro
     • At least 2GB of RAM for large EXS instruments
     • USB musical keyboard (or suitable MIDI keyboard and interface) for
instruments
     • Logic Node requires a Mac computer with a PowerPC G5, Intel Core,
or Intel Xeon processor and Gigabit Ethernet
