[Logic_Cafe] File Size

[Logic_Cafe] File Size

2008-12-18 by don miggs

I am sure I'm just missing the dumbest thing but when I bounce down a song the file seems to be larger than 4mb and I don't know why? Even when I have a small ONE TRACK file it seems to be doing
it. Anyone able to point out the obvious to me?

Logic will bounce down to AIFF by default. I'm assuming you're looking to
bounce down to mp3? If so, go File >> Bounce >> Destination and tick the
checkbox next to 'MP3." Then set your preferences accordingly.

Re: [Logic_Cafe] Apple Loops Utility quality

2008-12-20 by Tim McLane

I recently added some loops through the Apple Loops Utility, carefully
making sure that 1-the loop was lined up on the beat in Logic's
arrange page 2-that it was cut precisely to the right length 3-that in
the Utility I used the highest resolution possible. However, it still
sounded pretty grainy. Does anyone have any tips for getting better
quality?

Tim,

I'm not an expert on loops, but the two most obvious causes to me
would be poor slicing and too big a key or tempo shift. How does it
sound in ALU when you shift the tempo or pitch?
