Drive Space

Upgrading the internal drive is a great option if you are handy with electronics and more importantly if you are good at solving chinese puzzle boxes. If you can figure out Logic I'm pretty sure you can install a hard drive...iTunes is a storage hog. You can move your iTunes lib to an external drive by using an alias. You can also install & run logic on the internal drive but have its libraries, jam packs and project files on external drives. Moving the logic libraries is a lot more tricky than moving iTunes. Certainly saving projects to externals is easy. External drives are so cheap these days moving your iTunes off your main drive would probably free up enough room to hold the entire Logic Studio suite with all its libs. If you run into performance issues, in the save as dialog you can elect to save samples, impulse responses and such things along with your session onto an external drive. The next time you load that session it will access the files on your external drive reducing the load on the internal HD.
