2.2 dB (FS) ???

2.2 dB (FS) ???

2010-09-18 by Peter B

Anyone else experience this?

It used to be that a limiter on the master fader would have the meter end up reading 0 dB. But now in Logic Pro 9.1.1 it ends up reading 2.2 ??

I even tried sending the output of all tracks to an aux bus and moved the limiter from the master fader to this new pre-master fader aux bus. And .... that one meters at 0 dB ....??

I haven't tried other sessions since discovering this in this current session.

Yeah that never made sense to me. Maybe there is 32 bit internal
processing - or "0" is actually -6db or something.
