Pitch Bend Wheel issues in EXS in Logic Express 7

2004-12-17 by Dennis Gurwell

I'm having issues with the pitch bend wheel on my controller that I
never had with Logic Express 6. When I do a bend with the wheel, the
note does not come back down to pitch when I return the wheel to the
center position. From that point on all notes on the controller play up
a whole step. I usually only use EXS; so, I haven't yet tried the pitch
bend in any of the other virtual synths included in LE7.

There is a preference for that which is slightly different in L7 from L6.4.

There was the opposite problem before, when you would play Garritan, the mod
wheel needs to be up all the time, and Logic was resetting it, and making it a
big pain to use.

Where do I find this preference?

I use a different computer for email and music, but I think its Files > Preferences > Midi ... there are reset buttons for mod wheel, channel pressure, and pitch bend I think. Check the manual too.

So far I have been unable to find any such "reset" buttons. I have
found the midi area under preferences but no "reset" buttons.
