Hello again
Although my car is a Volvo 1800 GT, I suspect that
the under side is pretty much the same as the 1600.
So this is what I did, I used a straight piece of
pipe connected to the down pipe just by the side of the bell housing, to this I
connected a silencer from a Ford Cortina estate Mk3, 1970-73 , Armo part
No 2186.
It has been on the car for around 15years although
it will be ready for changing at the end of this summer.
I too only use the car in the summer
months.
