I concur. Last weekend, the local Ventura CA British car club hosted our annual local all British show. We planned for 100 cars. At 11:00 there were 120 cars entered on the field. The cars didn't stop coming until 12:00. And the parking lot was full of spectators with every manor or British car/truck and taxi. It was crazy, but what a great time we all had. California may have its faults....it just doesn't stop us from having a good time.
