It has been several years, but I recall converting mine w/ a smaller japanese 
brand alternator (Honda?), can't remember the brand.  Anyway, I used a 
universal adjustable bracket that just barely cleared the bonnet on my V6 and I was 
very satisfied.  Sorry I can't be more specific.  Good luck.
