Re: [MarcosManiacs] Alternator conversion

Will,
I've put a pic in the "photos" section of the site of an alternator conversion that was sent to me when I did mine. Mine basically is the same except my rear bracket is a little different.

It's photo #69.

Subject: [MarcosManiacs] Alternator conversion

Hi,

I've been lurking on this list for a while, but have the need for
some group expertise. I'd like to change the dynamo on my 1970 V6 for
an alternator. The wiring part of it is fine, but I'm having problems
getting the alternator low enough to avoid fouling the bonnet.

I've been trying to use a standard ford alloy alternator braket but
it leaves the alternator too high up.

Anyone else found a suitable alternative, or is it fabricate my own/
modify the dynamo mount time?

Thanks in advance

Will
