Donny, Thanks, the car will be sitting for a while B4 I start on it ($$$ and deciding on mods), this is the "simple" type car that I'm using to improve my mechanical skills, what did you think of the cars condition when you looked at it? Thanks for the offer of help, I will take you up on it. BTW --- I've heard good & bad on the 5 speed conversion have you driven both? Thanks, Paul --- In MarcosManiacs@yahoogroups.com, "Donny Lang" <indigo@t...> wrote: > Paul, > I too have the "little British car disease". I looked at your car late last summer, just because it was so different. I had no interest in buying it, I have too many as it is, though it was interesting! I already bought two project cars from Hayes back in late 2001, a Marcos and a TVR. I also have two Bugeye Sprites and a lot of parts for them. I am building one for the same purposes you are, the other one will be to sell as a decent driver. I can't tell you how to build your car, but I'm using a 1275 (bored 0.120 over for 1380), alloy big valve head, 5 speed transmission, disc brakes, etc. It probably wouldn't be too competitive in class with these modifications, but it will be a blast for street use. Contact me if there is anything I can help with.
