Hello Hal
Forgive me for putting in my two penn'eth (ten cents), but if your wooden
chassis car has the De-dion rear, then I don't think it was a 1600/1500. I could
be wrong but I think that the De-dion was only fitted to the 1800s and not all
those. It's just a thought if you are aiming at the purists.
Best regards Jac

I plan on trying to build a streetable track car. I would like to be able to compete well against my class. I was speaking to the elgibility guru from Rocky mtn vintage racing and he was flipping through a book of cars and thier motors and the like. He couldnt find any info on a 1600 engine for the '66. He said I would have to get proof. All I have is an advertisement with the different power plants but there is no date on it. Also, if you were to build a track/street car what engine trans would you use?Would it be worth my time to change the rear end. (de dion} Do you recall the way this car was set up to race back in the 60s;Hal5006
