Hello Hal
I don't know the condition of your car, but I must assume it is reasonable
at worst. Other wise you would not be considering racing it.
Because of the history behind the car, I would if the car were mine,
(condition of De-dion being good or repairable) keep the De-dion and source a
Volvo 1800 engine or even the 2Ltre. They are almost identical, and most of the
parts are inter-changeable. I also understand that they are plentiful at your
side of the world.
Spare parts at competition level are also plentiful, I am led to
believe.
You could get bags of HP from this type of engine, and keep the original
speck to within an inch or two.
Hope that hasn't thrown a spanner in the works(no pun).
Best regards Jac.

I was wondering if there was a way to improve the rear end. Any ideas on set up or anything that has worked for everyone will be greatly appreciated.Hal#5006
