Hi Hal,
The baffle plate was laid across the top of the sump well with a hole for the oil pump and another small one for the dip stick. Oil flows in through a gap at the rear. The baffle prevents the oil from being slung to the side or front under hard cornering or braking. I got the details from one of the Swedish members of the Marcos Owners Club. He's done a lot of racing in his time using a bored out Volvo B30 engine, the same as the one I have.

paul,
I was under the impresion that if the baffles were not put in the exact location it would not work properly. If that is the case do you have an out line of how and where you layed yours in.
