Lance,
Dave Bean Engineering is a small company (perhaps
10 employees) so anyone who answers the phone should be able to tell you who
owns the Marcos. Their phone # is 209 754-5177.
Mike

Mike Denman <mikedenman@...> wrote:Hi Lance,If you want a 1800 or 1600 then the correct years will be 1963 through 1966 (for the 1800) and 1968 through 1969 (for the 1600). The 1800's are very desirable for race cars and are very hard to find plus they didn't make very many of them (99). John Parker on the East Coast has a 1800 that he would probably sell if the price was right... I talked to him at Thunderhill race track last April and he was telling me how he had almost sold the car to some guy in Europe but the deal fell apart for some reason... but he is in no hurry to sell it and has it for a long time so the price would have to be fairly high to even get his attention. An employee at Dave Bean Engineering has a 1600 that has a engine that was originally rebuilt by Dave Bean. So far as I know she hasn't done much with the car since she bought it a couple of years ago. She might be worth a call... I have no idea if she actually wants to sell it. On the other hand, if the price is right most people will sell almost anything. Since she doesn't seem to be "doing much" (my perception and I may be wrong) with the car she might be motivated to sell the car to the right person.Good luck,Mike Denman.----- Original Message -----From: PloonSent: Wednesday, December 22, 2004 5:13 PMSubject: [MarcosManiacs] Locate a Marcos in USAHi All.....There was a Marcos 1600 for sale in Hemmings
