I'd like to locate a "newer" style Essex. Mine
is the early type with the dipstick at the front left of the engine and the deep
part of the sump in front. Would rather have the later style because more
stuff is available.

Don is correct. The US version of the Capri only came with the Cologne V6,
a totally different engine to the Essex. There are limited tuning parts
available but they are expensive. Need an essex?
