Bob
I'm involved with sail boats (I built my Ingrid
ketch, so I help friends with their yachts etc.). The way your
Marcos was built is the way most glass boats are still constructed
today, the core materials have expanded to the new materials but high end
plywood is still used in a lot of applications. This construction
technology makes the hull and deck of the yachts have the strength and stiffness
required at a very low weight. So you can go out a buy a new sailing
yacht and spend X thousands/millions of $$ and get the same
construction technology as #5179! So enjoy the show!!

contribution.
I am taking #5179 to an antique motor boat show at
special invitation because of the wooden frame. The
show sponsor thinks the car fits in well with the
fancy wood boat crowd.
