Re: [MarcosManiacs] eBay Alert: Marcos 3 Liter for sale

Donny,
Is your serial # 2M5514? And what's the correct year?
I thought this car looked familiar. I thought Michael Crews got it in West Virginia? Please let us know what Hayes has to say. I'm really curious! Thanks.

Andy and others,
This car looks like the one Hayes Harris (Wire Wheel,Vero Bch, FL) may have sold in 2002 or 2003. He had a Marcos that was supposed to be the magazine/show car that I looked at before I settled for my project car. It was Chroma Yellow with black interior, Volvo w/ automatic (with a moderate leak!), Lotus taillights, recessed door handles, tempered glass rear window, bolstered center console, Marcos name on the petal box, and Marcos alloys including spare. I even recognize the steering wheel with the 5 hub screws instead or the usual 6. I'm sure this is the same car I test drove. I will call Hayes tomorrow to follow up to see if it went to California. If it is the same car, it was in really nice shape.
Donny Lang #5514 (yes, I finally found the correct identity of my car, thanks to Larry!)

Whose car is this? Surely someone will recognize it...

Seller (eurocol) says this car is the 1970/71 N.Y. Motor Show car and was
featured in Car & Driver magazine December 1970.
