Hi, I am old alfisti that resently bought a 1600 marcos with chassi number #5178, the car after yours Bob and only a few after yours Richard. My car is i near mint condition but has been club raced in Sweden on and of the last years. About your conversion plans for a Alfa Nord engine i think you maby will have a problem with engine hight. You will probably ned a dry sump convertion for your engine. For a aluminum engin the alfa engin i one heavy piece.... It will probably weigh 30-40 kilos more then the crossflow ford engine. But it is a nice engin that will give you lodes of torque and without any problem 160-170 usable bhp.
