Paul, Sorry to hear that you have decided to sell the Marcos, but it sounds like you still have some very unusual cars in the fleet. Also now another person will get a chance to own a Marcos. Your Speedwell modified Sprite is of interest to me because I have been into Bugeyes since the early '70s. I also have a Speedwell bonnet and many other period pieces on my Sprite. I am sort of curious about the cut down doors on your car? Can you send me or direct me to a picture of that modification. I am currently working on an Alexander cross flow aluminum head to be installed on a modified 1098 block. There were only about 100 of these heads produced and valve train parts need to be made from scratch. This Alexander engine along with the 5 speed conversion will be in my Sprite in time for the 50Th Anniversary celebration of the Sprites. Both bonnets will be also set up for quick change. Six months of driving activity just would not work for me. We recently had a turn of 60 plus degree weather here in Blue Ridge VA and I have taken the Sprite and the Marcos on several spirited blasts through the mountains here in SW Virginia. Hoping you and the rest of the Marcos Maniacs are having a great new year.
