I live in chesapeake, Va and own an 85 mantula (steel frame) #8153 I think. I do hear that Abacus is pretty reputable. Would look forward to see the car.

Is your car a steel-chassied or wood bodied model? Either way, I know of a good race/restoration shop in Virginia Beach, Va that is very capable. The shop is Abacus Racing on Baker Road - ask for Chuck. I have had excellent machine work done there, and have seen impressive restorations, as well as daily driver updates done by their shop. I think they can take on less than complete restorations, but the condition of your car will be the primary determination of the extent of work necessary.
