Having read your thoghts about getting bigger wheels heres my 2 cents....
Bigger wheel do almost always increase unsprung weight and rotational masses. Both are unwanted when it comes to handling especially in a light car such as the Marcos. My wheels have a total weight inc. tyres of less than 11 kgs they are 13 x 7 with 205/60.
To go for a reduction in weight with ally hubs and then loose it all with bigger wheels seems to me to trade looks for performance. Which on a marcos is overkill .
However if you fit bigger brakes then its an different story.
conclusion: Go for the ford pcd and get the lightest wheel tyre (tyre performace is also a consideration here) combination you can afford.
