Don, Thanks for the reply. I called Performance Depot and they said send the whole distributor and they would try to fit it.The list the 003 model but not mine (142001). I don't realy want to trust my only distribubtor to the mails or shipping for fear of loss. Larry, I am a Lumenition agent (and Mini Marcos owner). I\u2019ve been watching your comments regarding the request for Pertronix info.
Lumenition lists about 6 Volvo 6 cyl engines distributors. However, your distributor number does not match up (142001) to any of those listed. So, I might be able to help if you can answer these questions: Is it Bosch? If so, does it have a right-hand or left-hand pivot pin? Do you know if the points would be # ZKB78 or ZKB112? Does it have vacuum advance or not? Does it have vacuum retard?

It is Bosch, the rotor turns ccw, I don't know what pont set, it has both vacuum advance and retard.

Larry, this application has me puzzled as Lumenition has no listing that even comes close to your part number or description and they have the widest variety of applications for European cars that I know of. I think it is likely that this is an early US anti-smog distributor.
One way to narrow this down is to know on which side the pivot pin is located. If you were installing points, would the pivot pin be on the left or the right?
It will likely require custom fitting, just as the other folks suggested. It may be that the base plate is the same as one of three types of anticlockwise rotating distributors installed in the European 6 cylinder cars. If that is the case, I can help. However, without it in front of me, I just don\u2019t know how what to advise.
