Marcos on eBay UK

Marcos on eBay UK

2007-04-01 by Donny Lang

There is a 1969 wood-chassis Marcos on eBay UK (#3180101980308)ending
April 7. The car is a disassembled project with what looks like most
of the hard work completed. There are many new parts included. Too bad
it isn't on this side of the Atlantic! (Garry, are you interested?).
This one looks like it would be worth shipping over. Check it out.

Larry and Donny, You prompted me and I bought it!! Remains to be
seen how much work there is to be done, but more than the seller
thinks. Problem is collecting it from Scotland as I am based in
Greenwich, London. I am not familiar with the 3 litre Ford "Essex"
engine so any advice will be useful. For example is it possible to
obtain parts for increasiong the performance. Also reading a
contemporary road test it seems that it eats clutches, so advice on
that would be helpful. I will run an article on our web magazine
www.motormarques.com to comlement the one I have already posted on the
1960 Marcos. Best wishes, John Sutton

John,
Congratulations. I think it was you who rang Marcos Heritage about the
car. I was there when Emily took the call. I can give you chapter and verse
on the Essex 3 ltr, especially the upgrade options and cost of the same. My
office is in the City so I am quite close by. I will be in the US this week
and next but will be back after that.

PS I race a '69 with a 3 ltr Essex
